Congenital Cardiopathies



Project Type: Interactive Multimedia CD, E-Learning.

Description: Lic. Zampa, member of the Hemodynamics Service and Interventionist Cardiology of Clínica Privada Sucre, and of the Training and Teaching Committee at the Conci-Carpinella Diagnosis by Images Institute, in Córdoba City, entrusted to EVO I.T. the creation of an interactive multimedia CD-ROM, to make possible the learning of congenital cardiopathies in children. The contents of the CD-ROM are oriented to doctors, resident doctors, and parents of children affected by these pathologies. The project displays not only reading material, but also images and videos that allow the user to learn about the origin, methods of detection and diagnosis of the different cardiopathies with a simple, fully intuitive platform that is state-of-the-art in electronic learning (e-learning), since it has X-ray, sonographies and angiographies captured in real time in patients with weeks and even days of life. These images and videos are shown in high - definition images and they are explained in detail by means of the use of visual techniques that help the user to understand each one of the pathologies presented in these medical studies of high complexity. This educational tool was not only successfully displayed in front of a lot of professionals and specialists, but it was also given following Awards:
  • 1st Multimedia Award - International contest of Medical Films and Multimedia: VideoMed, Argentina - 2005.
  • Special Mention - World Association of Medical and Health Films - 2005.
  • 3rd Multimedia Award - International Contest of Medical Films and Multimedia: VideoMed, Spain - 2006.
So far, EVO I.T. has obtained 9 international e-learning and multimedia awards in the last two years.
